What makes Grace Bay Beach so special?

Located on the northeastern side of Providenciales (Provo), Grace Bay Beach has been repeatedly voted ‘Best Beach in the World’ by travellers – and for good reason!
It offers 7.5 (12 km) miles of powdery white sand beaches, gentle turquoise waters, and one of the world’s largest coral reefs, making it perfect for those wanting to swim, snorkel, and explore.

Nature plays its part in protecting this stunning coastal area through the large barrier reef that is located about a mile offshore, which helps keep the beach’s waters calm and crystal clear. The reef, which surrounds much of the Turks and Caicos Islands, is teeming with marine wildlife and biodiversity.

Grace Bay Beach also forms part of the Princess Alexandria National Park, which is further protected by the special ecological measures imposed by the Turks and Caicos authorities.

This jaw-droppingly beautiful beach was named after Grace Jane Hutchings, the wife of Hugh Houston Hutchings, the British Commissioner of the Turks and Caicos from 1933 to 1934.

Nearby beaches include Leeward Beach to its east and Bight Beach on its western side. The area offers lots to do, including boat tours, sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking and scuba diving, or feel free to simply float on your back lapped by gentle waves as you take in the breathtaking scenery.

Once you work up an appetite, there are no shortage of dining options with many boasting oceanfront views.

For those wanting a more romantic experience, enjoy a sunset private catamaran along the coast or a candlelit dinner for two on the beach.
