Turks and Caicos named as 1 of 7 countries for Americans after “smart property”investments

A study by Coldwell Banker that was reported in Global Luxury 2024 found that around 40% of Americans surveyed are interested in buying a second home in another country in the near future. This pied-à-terre, Lesley Rotchford writes in House Beautiful, is usually more affordable than real estate in the US and could also be “a boon to your household income and existing assets.”

The Turks & Caicos Islands (TCI) was named by Coldwell Banker as one of the 7 top destinations in the world for American property investors, the other six being Portugal, Spain, Costa Rico, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, and Columbia. Among the reasons TCI is attractive to American buyers are its “natural beauty, tax advantages, tourism appeal, political stability, and infrastructure development”.
